Cafe in a Haiku

I caught a man excoriating a cake in a café

As being stodgy, desiccated, hard, the crowd timidified,

The chocolate cheesecake chastened.

  1. Poor old chocolate cake! If that man was starving think of his praises of it sung to the heavens. The cake would be like stodgy old Queen Victoria with a beautiful golden crown on ‘er ‘ead.
